Duquesne Student Wakes To Find Man Inside Her South Side Home

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a Duquesne student living on the South Side awoke to an intruder sitting on her bed.

The university sent out a crime alert Friday warning of the incident.

Officials say it happened at the female student's home on Sarah Street around 3:15 a.m. Thursday.

Reportedly the student woke up to find a strange man sitting on her bed. He then told her he had been invited in by the woman's roommate. The man put his arms around the woman, but she was able to get away and go to her roommate.

When they went back, the man had left through a back door.

Police say they believe the man may have followed the women to their home and entered through an unlocked back window.

He's described as being in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall, medium build with a light complexion and short brown hair. Police say he told the women his name was Michael.
