"When the officers approached the room, they saw like more of a gaseous fog in the hallway so they backed off and contacted the fire department," Moon Township Police Chief Gregory Seaman said. "The fire department came out and donned their protective gear and went into the room to make sure there was no fire and no one was hurt."

The police then brought in the Clandestine Lab Response Team around 2:30 a.m. No one was int he room.

"Through the investigation, they discovered evidence in there that someone was trying to manufacture some type of drug," Chief Seaman said.

While it is not confirmed, police said there is a strong possibility someone was trying to cook methamphetamine – posing a danger to everyone else nearby.

"There's the possibility of explosions, toxic fumes and things like that," Chief Seamon said. So it's never a safe venture," said Chief Seamon.

Police identified a suspect, but that person has not been arrested and no charges have been filed yet.
