Driver Flees Rollover Crash, Leaves Passenger Trapped In Vehicle

DUQUESNE HEIGHTS (KDKA) -- One person ran from a crash that left another person trapped in Duquesne Heights on Friday night.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. on Republic Street near Greenleaf Street.
One vehicle rolled over in the crash. Investigators say at least three juveniles were in the truck that struck a parked car and rolled over. Officials say that one female passenger was trapped inside the vehicle for a brief period of time before emergency responders were able to extricate her.
The female suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Pittsburgh Police say according to a preliminary investigation, the driver of the vehicle managed to get out and run away from the crash.
Investigators told KDKA that the investigation continues as it remains unclear as to who was operating the vehicle during the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
