Draconid Meteor Shower To Light Up Sky Tonight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – If you missed the supermoon eclipse last month, there's another celestial treat to watch tonight.

Thursday evening into early Friday will be when you can catch the Draconid meteor shower, according to EarthSky.org.

Stargazers in the US, Canada, as well as northern Asia and Europe will have the best views.

EarthSky doesn't list a specific time as the best to watch, but says evening is better than before dawn, since that's when the Draco constellation is highest in the sky.

Don't expect to see hundreds of meteors though, EarthSky says you'll likely only see a few per hour – but the crescent moon will make it much easier to see than in past years.
