Downtown Huntington Bank Robbed

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a downtown Pittsburgh bank.

Emergency dispatchers say someone robbed The Huntington Bank on Smithfield Street Wednesday afternoon around 2:30.

Police say the suspect is a black man who ran away from the scene. He's described as standing approximately 5'11", weighing 225 pounds, wearing dark clothing, a knit cap and sunglasses.

Officers say he held a cell phone to his ear during the robbery, and said he had a gun, but no weapon was seen.

No one was hurt.

It is not clear how much money he made off with.
