Cinema In The Park Returns To Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Monday brought the return of Cinema in the Park to the city of Pittsburgh.

The series launched Monday at McBride Park in Lincoln Place, showing "Pokémon Detective Pikachu."

The last two years, we were under various levels of stay-at-home orders and indoors for the most part -- certainly not out under the stars and mask-less, watching movies in the park together.

The city's Cinema in the Park program is one of the many things making life feel normal again post-pandemic.

City Parks installed a large portable screen next to a pavilion and grove at McBride Park which made a perfect backdrop for a warm summer night outside.

You can see a list of the Cinema in the Park locations here.
