Dole Recalling Bags Of Spinach Salad Over Salmonella Concerns

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Dole has issued a recall for bags of spinach in Pennsylvania as well as a dozen other states.

A random sample test found that some tested positive for salmonella.

No illnesses have been reported.

The recall covers bags with a "Use By" date of Oct. 15 and UPC 7143000976.

The bags are coded: A27409B and A27409A.

Symptoms of salmonella include fever and gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting or abnormal pain.
