New Castle Police Catch Wanted Fugitive From Detroit

NEW CASTLE (KDKA) -- New Castle police arrested a man who was wanted in Detroit on murder charges Thursday.

According to the New Castle City Police Department's Facebook page, local police and the Lawrence County District Attorney's special investigative unit were conducting undercover operations in New Castle earlier this week.

Undercover officers attempted to stop a vehicle occupied by three men on Mercer Street, but the vehicle sped off through the North Hill area to Laurel Boulevard near Wilmington Road. The three men then got out of the car and attempted to flee on foot. All three suspects were apprehended after a short chase on foot.
