Deer Causes Car To Crash Into Building Overnight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A deer may have sent a car crashing into a building early this morning in Pittsburgh's Oakland section.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. on Bates Street.

According to public safety officials, the driver told police a deer ran out in front of him, causing him to lose control and sent him crashing into the structure.

Crews remained on the scene through the late morning hours.

Building inspectors had to check the stability and safety of the building before the car could be removed.

The owner of the building says a resident was asleep in a back apartment when the crash happened.

That person was not injured.
