Four people, including two children, were killed in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike on Monday morning, officials said.

CBS affiliate WOIO reported, citing the Ohio State Highway Patrol, that the crash happened on the Turnpike at mile marker 82 in Sandusky County around 4:40 a.m. Police said the four victims were in a tractor-trailer that hit a sign.

Officials said 27-year-old Rolando Torres Lebron and 23-year-old Ayeisha Morales died in the crash, WOIO reported, adding that the two child victims were not immediately identified on Monday.

Torres Lebron reportedly was driving the tractor-trailer westbound when he hit the driver of a Ford F-450, sending his vehicle into a concrete barrier on the left side of the road before his vehicle veered back to the right side of the road and hit a pole.

The driver of the Ford F-450 hit a concrete barrier and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, WOIO reported. The exact extent of his injuries was not immediately known on Monday.

Law enforcement is investigating the crash. Torres Lebron was reportedly from Buffalo, New York.
