Greensburg Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in North Huntingdon Township early Saturday morning.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. on Lincoln Way between Jones Road and Richmark Drive.

The Westmoreland County coroner's office says 34-year-old Thomas Poole II, of Greensburg, was traveling north on Lincoln Way.

Poole failed to negotiate a curve and went off the side of the road, crashing into a gas meter and a telephone pole.

According to the coroner's office, Poole was thrown from motorcycle and sustained fatal head injuries.

Poole was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office says Poole was wearing a helmet. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
