ARMSTRONG COUNTY, Pa. (KDKA) – A 64-year-old North Apollo woman was killed in a crash in Apollo on Wednesday night.

The Armstrong County Coroner's Office says Jacqueline Hellein's car hit a utility pole and rolled several times near North Warren Avenue and North 6th Street by the Fishbowl Pet Store.

A neighbor said she saw a bright light and her house shook.

"It was obvious that something had happened, but what it as, we didn't know," said Brenda Troup. "We ran outside right away. At first we just saw that the telephone pole had been sheared. When I looked down this way I saw the car upside down."

The coroner said Hellein was not wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
