Animal Friends President And CEO Terminated After 23 Years

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Animal Friends is searching for a new leader.

David Swisher, the president and CEO, was fired after being with the organization for 23 years.

The Chief Strategy Officer, Kathleen Beaver, said that he violated employment policies.

Beaver will step in as acting CEO while the organization searches for a new leader.

Animal Friends is a no-kill organization that finds homes for animals.
