Dan Rather Talks About His Broadcasting Career At Robert Morris Speaker Series

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - KDKA Radio's Larry Richert and Professor Connie Ruzich recapped Dan Rather's appearance for the Robert Morris Speakers Series.

Rather spoke at Heinz Hall about his legendary broadcasting career, including his interview with Saddam Hussein.

Rather shared stories like getting fired from his job as a disc jockey at a radio station and how he made his way to television.

Richert explained that Rather wanted to make clear that "he did not replace Walter Cronkite," to which Professor Ruzich chimed in "no one replaces Walter Cronkite."

The Robert Morris Speakers Series takes place at Heinz Hall and recaps can be hear on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA:
