Search Called Off, Nothing Found At Connoquenessing Creek After Report Of Body
BUTLER COUNTY (KDKA) – Crews searched the Connoquenessing Creek this afternoon after someone reported seeing a body floating in it, but nothing was found.
A witness told authorities they saw a body floating down the creek in a plaid flannel shirt.
The Butler and Beaver Falls fire departments searched a 2-mile area of the creek Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say it took them about 20 to 30 minutes to get into the water, but followed up because the description seemed credible.
The search is now over.
