Crews Continue Search For Man Who Went Over Falls In Ohiopyle

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Crews continued to search Thursday for the man who went over a waterfall in Ohiopyle Wednesday.

Officials say 20-year-old Michael Davila of Carnegie fell into the water after he climbed from an observation deck, onto a rock above the falls and slipped on a patch of ice.

So far the search Thursday has not produced anything.

Ohiopyle Director Ken Bisbee said the water levels in the Yough River are much higher than usual, meaning much more water is going over the falls.

The Army Corps of Engineers also worked to lower the water levels at the Yough Dam to help with the search.
