CANTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) - A mobile home fire in Washington County has left one woman dead.

The fire broke out at a home along Brad Avenue around 5 a.m. in Canton Township.

Firefighters encountered heavy flames when they arrived on the scene.

The coroner has identified the victim as 78-year-old Judith Rubin.

"We made an initial knockdown. We did later find her in the living room," Canton Township Fire Chief Dave Gump said. "Thoughts are that she was on oxygen, and she was a smoker, so we're thinking that may be the cause. We're still investigating, we're not real sure about that yet."

State police and the fire marshal are investigating.
