Fire Damages 2 Homes In North Homewood

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Fire spread from one home to another at a group of rowhouses in North Homewood this afternoon.

The three-alarm fire started just before 3 p.m. in the 7700-block of Baxter Street.

Officials say the fire started in one home and then spread to another.

A neighbor called 911 and attempted to put out the flames with a garden hose until firefighters arrived.

No one was home at the time.

The fire damaged the two homes and has displaced at least four people.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
