Smoke, Flames Pour From Roof Of Penn Hills Home, 1 Firefighter Hurt

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Firefighters spent the overnight hours battling a house fire in Penn Hills..

Officials say it happened just before 2 a.m. in the 1500 block of Universal Road.

The fire was reported with heavy smoke and flames showing through the roof of the home.

The couple living in the home made it out safely.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital to be checked out for a possible broken ankle.
