Shaler Twp. Fire Leaves 1 Man Dead
SHALER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Authorities are investigating a house fire that left one man dead Friday night in Shaler Township.
The flames engulfed the home on Seavey Road just after 6 p.m.
Smoke and flames could be seen pouring from the home. The fire may have started on the porch.
Crews had trouble putting out the flames because some of the hydrants were frozen.
The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. A forensics team was also called to the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
