Coronavirus Closures: Heinz History Center, Fort Pitt Museum Close For More Than 2 Weeks
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Heinz History Center announced Saturday morning it would be closed starting today through March 29.
The center said that it was following the guidance of local and national governmental officials. The closure also impacts the Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park, which is connected to the history center.
In accordance with the recommendations of local and state officials to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Heinz History Center and Fort Pitt Museum will close to the public effective on Saturday, March 14, and remain closed through Sunday, March 29. pic.twitter.com/hqYMPanWoN

On Friday, the center announced that it would cancel or postpone all public programs through April 6.
Following the guidance of public health and government officials regarding COVID-19, the Heinz History Center will cancel or postpone all public programs through Monday, April 6.
