One Killed In Indiana Co. Crash

INDIANA COUNTY (KDKA) -- One man was killed in a single-car crash in Conemaugh Township on Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. on the Route 286 Highway.

According to state police, 54-year-old Michael Bucco, of Saltsburg, was traveling too fast in the westbound lane when he crossed into the eastbound lane. He lost control of his vehicle as he attempted to veer back into the westbound lane.

State police say Bucco struck a tree on the front passenger side of the vehicle, causing his vehicle to overturn. The car then struck another tree, overturning the car again into an upright position.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Indiana County coroner's office says icy roads and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.

Pennsylvania State Police investigated the scene.
