Closing Time For Strip District's Altar Bar
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Strip District concert venue Altar Bar will be closing next month.
The last concert will be played on July 31.
The Strip District nightclub and concert venue is in the process of being sold.
The building is the former St. Elizabeth Church.
Altar Bar owner Mike Pitterich told our news partners at the Post-Gazette, "I chose to sell the building because I wanted use my assets elsewhere. I'm trying to build a new steel mill and I need some cash."

The buyer is expected to use the facility for a different purpose.

All shows that were scheduled after July 31 will be moved to the Rex Theater on the South Side.
