Closing Arguments Expected In Brookline Principal Exposing Case

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Closing arguments are expected to be delivered this afternoon at a trial for a local principal accused of soliciting sex at a gym.

Police say 37-year-old Alfonzo Deluliis, who is suspended with pay from Brookline K-8, solicited two men for sex in the sauna room at the L.A. Fitness location in McCandless.

The alleged incidents happened between February and August of 2013. The gym has since terminated Deluliis' membership.

Deluliis took the stand at his trial today, denying all the charges against him.

On the stand, he said he was not in the sauna at the time of the alleged incidents. He claims, he was in Florida.

Deluliis is charged with open lewdness, indecent assault and unlawful contact with a minor, as well as other charges.

Pittsburgh Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Linda Lane was also in court for the proceedings this afternoon, and was expected to testify.

The jury could get the case as early as this afternoon.
