Clint Barmes Placed On Disabled List

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pirates infielder Clint Barmes has been placed on the 15-day disabled list for a groin strain.

He suffered the injury June 30, the team says.

The team has recalled Michael Martinez from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Martinez was also with the Pirates last month, from June 12 to June 15, starting on second base in Miami.
