Clemente Bridge Reopens After Package Made To Look Like A 'Dangerous Device' Found

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police were on the scene of the Clemente Bridge, which was closed off to traffic after a suspicious package that's unattended was found.

Pittsburgh Public Safety said law enforcement worked to check out an "unattended package" on Friday afternoon at around 10:45 a.m.

A man walking on the North Shore riverwalk noticed the package, police said.

About an hour later, Pittsburgh Public Safety said the package its Bomb Squad recovered was made to look like a "potentially dangerous device."

They say the package posed no harm and the scene is safe.
