The victim was taken to a local hospital and police said he's expected to survive after undergoing surgery. However, they said he's not cooperating with investigators.

An officer on scene said the lifeguard is a good person. They've seen him around town and he's not known to police.

Allegheny County police sent a diver into the pool to look for the shell casing.

It's unclear if there's a motive and what charges will be filed.
