Man, 20, Dies After Clairton Shooting, Police Investigating

CLAIRTON (KDKA) – Police are investigating a Wednesday night fatal shooting in Clairton.

According to police, officers were called to the area of Soltis Drive and Madison Avenue around 8:15 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Officers found nothing in that area.

Around 8:50 p.m., Glassport Police and paramedics were called to the 400 block of Monongahela Avenue for a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

When they arrived, the 20-year-old victim said he had been shot on Polk Avenue in Clairton and drove himself to Glassport.

He was staying with friends in Glassport and drove to Clairton to meet someone when he was shot.

The victim was taken to a local trauma hospital, where he later died. He has been identified as 20-year-old Antonio Gambill of Pittsburgh.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to contact Allegheny County Police at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
