City Of Pittsburgh HAZMAT Team Training With New Tool To Identify Substances

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh's HAZMAT team is training with a new tool to help keep its members safe.

On Friday, the team trained with a device that can identify unknown substances in under a minute.

The 'Gemini' device is an upgrade that combines the function of two devices.

The city says it expects to put a 'Gemini' in the field once everyone on the HAZMAT team is trained.
