City Of Pittsburgh & Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge

Pittsburgh has been invited to apply for a public art challenge grant, sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies.

In order to apply, cities must partner with local artists and organizations to come up with ideas for public art installations around town.

Mayor Bill Peduto is hoping local artists get involved in the project so Pittsburgh can apply for the grant to make the ideas a reality.

City planners say public art installations could add vibrance to neighborhoods throughout the city.
