Death Of Missing 22-Year-Old Found Near Murder Suspect's Fox Chapel Home Ruled Homicide

FOX CHAPEL, Pa. (KDKA) - The death of a missing 22-year-old found near a murder suspect's home in Fox Chapel has been ruled a homicide.

Christian Moore-Rouse was last seen in December of 2019, and his remains were found and identified on March 3. On Wednesday, the medical examiner ruled his cause of death a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death: homicide.

His remains were found near the home of Adam Rosenberg, a college friend the family says they suspected in Moore-Rouse's disappearance.

Rosenberg is being charged with the death of 28-year-old Jeremy Dentel in Baldwin. Rosenberg was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing 28-year-old Dentel in Baldwin. Dentel was found shot in the head inside his home.

Police say they've received questions in response to statements by Moore-Rouse's family members, claiming investigators were told about Rosenberg's possible involvement in Moore-Rouse's disappearance in December.

"We understand that these are trying times for the family, but we disagree with that characterization," Allegheny County Police Department Superintendent Coleman McDonough said in a statement.

"The Allegheny County Police Department received this case on January 6. The name Adam, without a last name, was provided to investigators in January. He was identified as an acquaintance of Mr. Moore-Rouse, as were others, but not implicated in Mr. Moore-Rouse's disappearance."

Moore-Rouse's family held a memorial service for him Wednesday afternoon. The family's attorney says they're waiting patiently for the police to arrest a suspect in the case.
