PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A child was rushed to the hospital after a reported near-drowning in a bathtub at a residence in Pittsburgh's Hill District Friday afternoon.

Emergency officials were called to the home on the 600-block of Hollace Street around 3 p.m.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, the babysitter put the baby boy in the bathtub with about three-inches of water in it.

She left for a moment to get a bath towel, and officials say when she returned she found the 15-month-old lethargic but breathing.

The baby was taken to Children's Hospital for treatment.

There's not word on his condition.
