Child, 9, Falls From Ski Lift At Boyce Park

PLUM (KDKA) -- A 9-year-old child fell from a ski lift at Boyce Park on Sunday morning.

It happened around 1:15 p.m.

According to officials, the child was bending over to try to get his foot into his snowboard when he fell about 15 feet to the ground.

He was conscious and alert after the fall. Officials say he didn't want to leave the park and wanted to continue to snowboard, but he was sent to the hospital as a precaution.

Operations at the park continued as usual.
