Pedestrian Critically Injured In Hit-And-Run, Driver Sought

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Pittsburgh's Chateau neighborhood Friday morning.

According to police, the crash happened near the intersection of Beaver Avenue and North Franklin Street around 6:45 a.m.

A man was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The victim was taken to the hospital and was last listed in critical condition.

Police are looking for a maroon or red Ford Fusion, which fled the scene.

Police said the vehicle suffered damage to the passenger side and is missing a mirror.

Traffic on Beaver Avenue was diverted while police investigated, but the road reopened around 9 a.m.
