Chase Suspect Caught On Dash-Cam Video Arrested

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) -- State police in Fayette County say one day after releasing dash-cam photos of a chase suspect, they have taken him into custody.

According to state police, they arrested James Fields of Smithfield after getting a ton of calls from people who saw the pictures on the news.

Police say Fields is accused of leading them on a wild chase in Georges Township last month.

He drove through a yard and down an embankment before troopers called off the chase.

Fields turned himself in Wednesday night, state police said.

Charges have been filed against him and he has been arraigned.
