Charges Dropped Against 2 Aliquippa School Employees Accused Of Failing To Report Alleged Sex Assault
ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- Two school employees in Beaver County who are accused of failing to report a case of alleged sexual abuse are no longer face charges.
A judge dropped all charges on Thursday against Aliquippa School Board member Aileen Gilbert and substitute teacher Ahna Anderson.
Anderson and Gilbert came under fire in April after officials said a student at Aliquippa Elementary School showed them a cell phone video allegedly depicting a sex act between an older student and a 12-year-old girl.
"She couldn't really determine what was on the video, but then within 24 hours she reported it to a supervisor," said Blaine Jones, Anderson's attorney. "I'm not sure what else she should have done. Fortunately, the judge agreed with that argument and charges were dismissed."

"It's a very grainy video of two individuals where you cannot determine their age, you cannot determine their race, you cannot determine their gender, you can't determine their identity," said Steven Valsamidis, Gilbert's attorney.
Both women said they are happy the case is behind them, so they can get back to work.
