Central Valley H.S. Placed On Lockdown After Threat Found

MONACA (KDKA) – The Central Valley High School was placed under lockdown after a threat was found inside the school Thursday afternoon.

School officials found a threat on a bathroom wall that read, "I have a gun."

Parents were alerted via a voicemail message, which can be heard here.

The school issued a statement on their website to announce the lockdown.

"The high school is currently in a lock down. We are working with police to search the premises. The students are in class as normal. We are taking every precaution to make sure that our students are safe and secure. No one is permitted to enter or leave the campus during the lock down. Once again this is at the high school only."

No other information has been released at this time.
