CBS' 'Extant' Adds Jeffrey Dean Morgan To Its Cast

CBS show “Extant” has a new cast member in actor Jeffery Dean Morgan, who will join the sci-fi series when it returns in summer 2015.

Morgan has been cast as a series regular in the Halle Berry drama produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. He will play the character JD Richter, a roguish womanizer who is also a mercenary/bounty hunter.

The serialized series follows female astronaut Molly Woods, played by Berry, who discovers she has unwittingly put the human race on a path to destruction. Morgan will be the free-wheeling, hard-drinking and fearless everyman who thought he’d seen everything until meets astronaut Woods.

The second season of “Extant” is set to premiere this summer, so keep an eye out for more.
