Catholic Charities Opening Its Warming Shelter On Sunday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- With bitter cold temperatures hanging around all weekend, Catholic Charities is opening its warming station for people who need to escape the arctic blast.

The Susan Zubik Welcome Center on 212 Ninth Street downtown will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be hot beverages, snacks and gently-used cold weather apparel.

The Welcome Center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through March.
