"Catch Me If You Can" Inspiration On Fraud Protection

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- Frank Abagnale is one of the world's most famous con artists and was depicted by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film "Catch Me If You Can."

The movie detailed his time as a fraudster from the ages of 16 until his capture at 21.

He joined The Mike Pintek Show to discuss his life and the identity theft avoidance program he is leading for AARP at the Monroeville Convention Center.

Abagnale emphasized the seminar is "great opportunity to help consumers" and that "education is the most powerful tool in fighting crime."

Abagnale has been an advisor with the FBI for over 40 years. He started advising with them after his release from prison.
