Castle Shannon Police Searching For Bank Robbery Suspect

CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) -- Castle Shannon Police are searching for the suspect of a bank robbery that took place Thursday.

The robbery happened at the Dollar Bank at 400 Mt. Lebanon Blvd. around 12:20 p.m. Thursday.

The man walked into the bank, jumped over the teller counter, took cash and fled on foot toward Cooke Lane and Bockstoce Avenue. A vehicle was waiting for him there.

The suspect is described as a white male, more than 6 feet tall and about 200 lbs. He had a mustache and facial hair.

At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt over a long red t-shirt. He had on a red plaid jacket, blue jeans and black tennis shoes with some white trim.

There is no description of the getaway vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed this crime or has any information about the suspect should call 911.
