Carrick Man, 21, Arrested For January Robbery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Carrick man was in possession of a BB gun that resembled a real firearm when he was arrested by Pittsburgh police Friday night for an armed robbery in January.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, police reported that they had arrested 21-year-old Dominque Charles Arture of Carrick in connection with a robbery at the Rite Aid in the 1200-block of Brownsville Road, which took place around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.

According to police, Arture approached the register holding items as though he was going to make a purchase. Arture then pulled what appeared to be a gun out of his pocket and told the cashier to open the register. He removed money from the register and fled on foot.

Police say when he was arrested Friday night, he was in possession of a black BB gun with the orange tip removed so it resembled a real gun.
