Cambria County Woman Accused Of Faking Cancer Diagnosis

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman from the Johnstown area is charged with a felony, accused of faking a cancer diagnosis.

Police say 39-year-old Brandi Hammers did not have Stage 3 stomach cancer despite raising thousands of dollars through fundraisers to supposedly help with her medical bills.

She is charged with theft by deception.
