Calipari Having Fun During Undefeated Season

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Kentucky head coach and Moon Township native John Calipari took time out of his busy schedule to talk to "The Cook and Poni Show" Friday as his undefeated team prepares for the regular season finale tomorrow against Florida.

"We're trying to keep marching forward and keep focusing on these players," Calipari said. "It's been fun. We're down here in the snow-blanketed - it's like Pittsburgh. I thought I was back in Pittsburgh."

Calipari said he is having fun going through this season rather than feeling pressure to keep winning and trying to set history by going the distance undefeated.

"I'm having a ball because we got great kids," Calipari said. "They understand, they all have dreams. This isn't about one or two guys. It's about all of them reaching their dreams and they figured out early on the way to that is, if they want to eat, you've got to win at the highest level and they have been doing that."

Calipari also talked about his time growing up in Pittsburgh and his relationship with Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon as well.
