Authorities Warn Of Powerful Heroin Going Around Butler Co.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Butler County authorities are warning the public about a strong batch of heroin on the streets.
According to the Butler Eagle, officials said that two deaths and more than half-a-dozen almost fatal overdoses were caused by this batch of heroin.
One officials told the newspaper that "ambulance crews are getting swamped," from the overdose calls.
It's unclear if the heroin being bought and sold in Butler County is laced with something more powerful, such as Fentanyl.
In 2014, more than 20 people died from Fentanyl or Fentanyl-laced heroin.
