Police Seek 2 Burglary Suspects Who Shot At Homeowner

MOUNT OLIVER (KDKA) -- Police are looking for two burglary suspects who shot at a homeowner in Mount Oliver on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. along Fremont Street.
According to the Mount Oliver Police chief, the homeowner came home to find the two suspect inside. Police say he chased them to the back door, and one of the suspects fired a shot at him.
The two suspects ran from the home and escaped.
The homeowner called 911. He not hurt in the incident; however, several valuables are missing from his home.
The SWAT team was called in to make sure no one else was inside.
"A few hales, calling to make sure nobody was inside the house. Afterward, the sent the robot in to check the house, then the CERT operators went in and the residence was cleared. There was nobody inside," said Mt. Oliver Police Chief Matthew Juzwick.
Police are asking people who live in the neighborhood to lock their doors.
While the suspects did get away, officials say they do have some leads.
The street has reopened to traffic.
