BULLSKIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person was killed in a crash in Bullskin Township on Saturday evening, and one adult and two children were injured.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 440 Pleasant Valley Road at around 6:20 p.m.

State police say a truck and a sedan were both traveling north on the road when the crash occurred. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

After the initial crash, the truck struck a guide rail, went over a slight embankment and struck a tree head on.

The driver of the truck -- who has been identified as 39-year-old James E. Black of Acme, Pa. -- was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to state police, a 39-year-old woman, a 7-year-old girl, and a 9-year-old boy were also in the truck at the time of the crash.

The woman was flown to UPMC Presbyterian, and the girl was flown to Children's Hospital. The boy was taken to Frick Hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

The driver of the sedan -- a 36-year-old woman of Connellsville, Pa. -- was taken to Frick Hospital as a precaution. She was the only person in her car at the time of the crash.

State police are investigating.
