BUFFALO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Two children who were reported missing in Butler County have been found safe.

Dozens of searchers with dogs and ATVs were searching a wooded area of Buffalo Township all day Friday.

Fourteen-year-old Adam Harris and 12-year-old Ella Eyler became angry when their parents told them they were seeing too much of each other, so they took off late Thursday night after their families went to sleep.

The children left a note saying they were going camping and wouldn't be back until the Fourth of July.

"It's scary. Your baby is out there and you have no idea where he's at," Adam's mother, Jennifer, said. "I just want him to come home."

"She's 12. She's out there on her own," Clayton Eyler, Ella's father, said. "She doesn't always know what's dangerous and what's not. Thinks she's older than she is."

They were found safe at a nearby tree farm around 4 p.m.
