Bret Michaels Brings New Guitar, Salad To Station Square Hard Rock Cafe

BUTLER (KDKA) – A career music man is now cooking up something special at the Hard Rock Café – and on Bret Michaels Day, no less.

In addition to playing a concert in his hometown at the Big Butler Fair, he's in town to dedicate a custom Gibson guitar to the Hard Rock Café at Station Square.

"My dad would bring me down to tailgate parties," he said. "We would got down and see the Pirates play, the Steelers, the Penguins, Steelers, Pitt. It was just an awesome day to be able to donate this knowing that we live here and I think people will love to be able to come in here and see how intricate the custom work is on this guitar and there's really one other one like it in the world."

That guitar is in the Steelers locker room.

"I'm a barbequer, right?" Michaels said. "So I was working on the Pitts-burger, right? And I was like this is going to be good and all the sudden we segued into a more international flair -- so in all my days I never knew that it would happen but the dream has finally come true -- the Bret Michaels salad at the Hard Rock."

"It was a perfect fit because it's high in fiber and high in protein and low in carbs so for what we are trying to accomplish it, it was a perfect salad to put together," he added.

Welcome home Bret – and bon appetit.
