Body Pulled From Ohio River In Monaca

MONACA (KDKA) – Authorities pulled a man's body from the Ohio River in Beaver County Saturday afternoon.

The body was found near the Monaca boat launch.

Authorities say the man drowned while trying to launch his boat after he slipped and fell in the river.

They say it happened around 2:30 p.m. and his body was found about an hour later.

The Beaver County Coroner's Office identifies him as 81-year-old William Gallagher.
